Is this actual advice, or just analytics?+
Actual advice. AI Portfolios is backed by a Registered Investment Advisor entity; every memo and chat reply is generated under that RIA’s compliance framework and signed by the Compliance Agent before delivery. We follow SEC Marketing Rule 206(4)-1, FINRA Rule 2210, and full audit-trail requirements.
How is this different from talking to my CFA?+
A human CFA brings judgement and a relationship; this brings cadence and patience. The memo arrives every week whether or not anything has changed. The chat answers at 2am. The action list rewrites itself when the market moves on Tuesday.
What happens to my data?+
Plaid handles brokerage credentials end-to-end; we never see passwords. Profile and conversation data live in encrypted PostgreSQL with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. PII is excluded from logs. Model providers do not train on your data. You can export or delete everything from Settings.
Will it upsell me to Autopilot?+
It will mention the upgrade once, in your second memo, if and only if the system would route differently with execution available. After that, never. Director is a complete product; many of our happiest users will never move tiers.
Can I cancel at any time?+
Yes. Cancellation is one tap in Settings and runs through App Store billing — no retention call, no exit interview. Your account remains read-only for thirty days so you can export memos and audit logs, then is fully deleted on request.
